The Storyteller Intern at Loro Piana serves as the Maison's cultural ambassador within the Atelier space, acting as the primary point of contact for guests while sharing the heritage, craftsmanship, and exceptional raw materials that define the house. This role combines genuine hospitality with client prospecting responsibilities, guiding boutique visitors through meaningful narratives before seamlessly introducing them to Client Advisors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Extend warm, genuine greetings and hospitality to all guests entering the Atelier and sales floor, embodying Loro Piana's values of care and respect through the 'Selling Galateo' approach
- Serve as the Maison's storyteller by communicating heritage, craftsmanship, and raw material provenance in ways that create memorable client experiences
- Independently conduct client prospecting activities, initiating thoughtful conversations to understand preferences, lifestyle, and needs
- Seamlessly introduce clients to Client Advisors with relevant insights and preferences to facilitate personalized, elevated service
- Support line management, appointment coordination, and boutique flow while maintaining guest comfort and security
- Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary
- Identify and translate client experience and product knowledge opportunities into coaching priorities for team development
- Partner with Store Leadership and Retail Excellence teams to reinforce storytelling standards and strengthen on-the-floor execution
- Contribute to a continuous coaching culture through feedback cycles, training activations, and dedicated team mentoring
- Maintain comprehensive product and aftersales knowledge across all categories and confidently communicate seasonal launches and artisanal techniques
- Support planning and execution of boutique events, VIP activations, and special client experiences to the highest standards
- Share strategic insights with Store Leadership on opportunities to optimize client journeys and hospitality experiences
- Act as a cultural ambassador for the Maison at all times, fostering an environment of warmth and excellence for clients and colleagues
