Loro Piana Store Planning Project Manager in Tokyo, Japan—lead luxury boutique development projects with P&L responsibility.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle from location due diligence to final boutique delivery, ensuring compliance with luxury brand concept guidelines and local requirements
- Prepare feasibility studies and detailed budget/timing estimates for new store locations and renovation projects
- Supervise and coordinate all architectural and construction activities for boutique developments ranging from small standalone stores to flagship locations
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Procurement departments to establish budgets, manage cost variations, finalize lease agreements, and negotiate vendor contracts
- Lead and manage external consultants including architects, engineers, contractors, and design professionals to establish project parameters, manage schedules, and resolve outstanding issues
- Collect project briefs and start-up information from Regional stakeholders (store managers, partners, region presidents) in coordination with Store Planning Corporate team
- Establish and maintain relationships with landlords and leasing teams to obtain location drawings, technical guidelines, and necessary documentation
- Monitor store operations and collaborate with store management post-opening to maintain aesthetic appeal and operational functionality befitting a luxury brand
- Supervise procurement activities, handle project administration, manage logistics, and oversee quality control from planning through construction phases
- Report directly to Senior Project Manager Japan with functional oversight from Store Planning HQ team
Qualifications
- University degree in Architecture or related Engineering field
- Minimum 7–8 years of project management experience in retail environments within a comparable luxury international company or organization of similar complexity
- Demonstrated proficiency with architectural drawings, construction terminology, standard methodologies, and building practices
- Familiarity with indirect procurement processes and vendor management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with SAP enterprise resource planning systems
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Experience
Minimum 7–8 years of applicable retail project management experience within a luxury international retail environment or comparable organization. Familiarity with indirect procurement processes is essential. Candidates should possess a proven track record of successfully delivering boutique and flagship store projects from feasibility study through final construction and opening.
Education
University degree in Architecture or a related Engineering discipline.
