As part of the LVMH group, the maison combines artisanal savoir‑faire with global retail operations and places strong emphasis on craftsmanship, product excellence, and discreet, service-led client experiences.

Loro Piana in Milan seeks a Store Planning Project Manager to coordinate Americas retail projects from HQ, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of retail projects across the Americas — new openings, expansions, renovations, relocations and maintenance — from HQ oversight in Milan.
  • Coordinate site due diligence, preliminary budgets and programme timelines while identifying regional constraints, regulatory risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and critical paths; implement corrective actions to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee design development and technical coordination with designers, architects and local teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and local regulations.
  • Review architectural, technical and consultant drawings/submittals for compliance with approved concepts, project specifications and building codes.
  • Prepare and maintain CAPEX trackers, cost reports and financial updates to ensure rigorous budget control throughout all project phases.
  • Lead procurement activities and track vendor orders, including international shipments and local import compliance.
  • Support tendering and bid management for consultants and contractors (RFIs, bid analysis, clarifications, documentation review and selection recommendations).
  • Select, onboard and coordinate external consultants, contractors, millwork vendors and other suppliers to align scope, timing and quality expectations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation — project briefs, meeting minutes, risk/change logs, technical files and drawing archives with strict version control.
  • Conduct targeted on-site visits across the Americas during key construction phases, produce detailed progress reports and ensure adherence to project and local regulatory standards.
  • Act as primary liaison between Milan HQ departments (Retail, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Finance, Legal, IT & Security) and local Americas teams to facilitate cross-functional alignment.
  • Monitor project risks and variations, proactively resolve cross-functional issues, and escalate critical decisions to the Senior Manager as required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in store planning, retail construction or project management; luxury retail experience preferred.
  • Proven experience managing multi‑stakeholder projects and coordinating external consultants and contractors.
  • Demonstrable financial acumen in budget planning, cost monitoring and CAPEX reporting.
  • Strong architectural/design sensibility with close attention to aesthetic and technical detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams and time zones.
  • High adaptability and willingness to conduct targeted travel to the Americas for key project phases.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
