Loro Piana seeks a Spinning Operator in Roccapietra, Italy — permanent full-time role overseeing carded yarn spinning and quality control.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and supervise assigned spinning frames for carded yarn production, ensuring continuous and efficient machine running.
- Set up and adjust spinning parameters for each article according to technical specifications and production orders.
- Inspect yarn quality throughout the spinning process and perform in-process quality controls to meet defined standards.
- Collaborate closely with carding personnel to align upstream and downstream process requirements and preserve product integrity.
- Participate actively in final stages of yarn transformation and handover to subsequent production units.
- Record production metrics, report deviations, and support root-cause analysis for quality or efficiency issues.
- Carry out routine mechanical checks and basic troubleshooting; escalate complex maintenance needs to technicians.
- Adhere to health, safety and housekeeping rules within the production area.
Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of carded spinning processes and yarn specifications.
- Familiarity with fibre characteristics, particularly natural fibres used in luxury textiles (e.g., wool, cashmere).
- Ability to interpret and apply spinning settings and technical indications for diverse articles.
- Strong quality orientation with experience in in-process inspection and corrective actions.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in spinning or yarn production within a textile mill or luxury fibre processing environment.
Education
