Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate and supervise assigned spinning frames for carded yarn production, ensuring continuous and efficient machine running.
  • Set up and adjust spinning parameters for each article according to technical specifications and production orders.
  • Inspect yarn quality throughout the spinning process and perform in-process quality controls to meet defined standards.
  • Collaborate closely with carding personnel to align upstream and downstream process requirements and preserve product integrity.
  • Participate actively in final stages of yarn transformation and handover to subsequent production units.
  • Record production metrics, report deviations, and support root-cause analysis for quality or efficiency issues.
  • Carry out routine mechanical checks and basic troubleshooting; escalate complex maintenance needs to technicians.
  • Adhere to health, safety and housekeeping rules within the production area.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of carded spinning processes and yarn specifications.
  • Familiarity with fibre characteristics, particularly natural fibres used in luxury textiles (e.g., wool, cashmere).
  • Ability to interpret and apply spinning settings and technical indications for diverse articles.
  • Strong quality orientation with experience in in-process inspection and corrective actions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and practical experience in routine machine maintenance and diagnostics.

Experience
