Senior Store Manager | Loro Piana | Tokyo, Japan | Multi-boutique leadership in luxury retail

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations and strategic direction across multiple Loro Piana boutiques, ensuring consistent execution of brand DNA, operational excellence, and maximum revenue realization
  • Lead and mentor Store Managers and boutique teams through effective coaching, performance management, and continuous development to drive business results and foster a positive work environment
  • Optimize overall sales performance across assigned boutiques by establishing and monitoring key KPIs, collaborating with the Retail Manager to define strategic initiatives, and implementing targeted action plans
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships across all boutiques through effective team management, delivering exceptional service standards, and ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Develop comprehensive client relationship strategies including acquisition of new clients, retention of existing clientele, and cultivation of high-potential customers across multiple locations
  • Monitor and execute all clienteling activities in collaboration with the Private Client Relations Manager, with particular focus on VIC clients and cross-boutique opportunities, leveraging digital tools such as clienteling apps and social media
  • Ensure CRM data integrity and reporting accuracy across all assigned boutiques by collecting necessary customer data and contributing to CRM strategy and KPI monitoring
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards across all boutiques in alignment with corporate and Central Visual Merchandising guidelines, working closely with Visual Merchandising and Buying teams
  • Manage security, loss prevention, and theft mitigation across all assigned boutiques, overseeing Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers while providing regular reporting to the Retail Manager
  • Oversee stockroom management and optimization across all boutiques in coordination with the Retail Manager and Buying team, ensuring operations are commensurate with sales potential
  • Coordinate annual inventory activities including year-end closing, category-specific stocktakes, and statutory inventory counts across all boutiques
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to support in-store marketing events, ensuring consistency and effectiveness of all boutique-level promotional initiatives
  • Implement and maintain security, health, and safety procedures across all assigned boutiques in compliance with local labor regulations and company standards
  • Foster two-way communication among Store Managers through regular meetings, sharing key messages, priorities, and best practices to promote inter-boutique collaboration

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail management or equivalent senior-level retail operations role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple retail locations or boutiques simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning, clienteling practices, and high-net-worth customer engagement
  • Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, KPI monitoring, and data-driven decision-making
  • Exceptional leadership capability with ability to recruit, motivate, develop, and retain high-performing retail teams
  • Fluent in Japanese and English; additional language capabilities preferred
