RTW Product Engineering Senior Specialist at Loro Piana in Borgosesia, Italy. Define technical specifications and manage apparel production engineering from sample to full-scale manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Actively participate in fitting sessions with the Product Office, documenting fit standards and modifications using defect-tracking modules to be implemented in production samples and sales campaigns
- Measure sample garments to establish size specifications for production across all sizes, incorporating requested modifications
- Support definition of accessories (zippers, belts, etc.) in terms of sizing and gauge
- Manage information flow for assigned production garments (technical specifications, base measurements across sizes, etc.) by coordinating meetings with external laboratories to communicate requirements and monitoring pre-production trials
- Monitor advancement and successful completion of pre-production phases, tracking all trials to confirm readiness for full production
- Contribute to establishing technical and quality standards by collaborating with Quality Control technicians and the Testing department on quality issues
- Actively support external technicians and suppliers during the production phase, subject to office capacity and workload
- Manage washing trials and alternative solution tests to improve garment construction, enhancing appearance and reducing production time
Qualifications
- Diploma in technical fashion institute with focus on pattern-making and garment construction
- 3–5 years of experience in industrialisation, pattern-making, or analogous roles
- Consolidated knowledge of pattern-making and industrial garment construction (apparel sewing)
- Understanding of product refinement phases and production setup
- Knowledge of raw materials (fabrics, accessories, leather, etc.)
- Attention to detail and precision
- Results-oriented with propensity for objective-driven work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- English language knowledge considered a plus

Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in industrialisation, pattern-making, or closely analogous technical roles within apparel production or product development.
Education
Diploma from a technical fashion institute with specialisation in pattern-making (modelistica) and garment construction (confezione).
Workplace
This position is based in Borgosesia, Piedmont, Italy, within easy reach of Turin.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 38,000 per annum.
