Research & Purchasing Specialist – Trims at Loro Piana Milan: €30,000 annual salary, full-time hybrid role managing supplier relations and material coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain and update a comprehensive supplier directory
- Interact with suppliers to gather material data, technical specifications, transmit purchase orders, and collaborate with Procurement on system uploads
- Monitor all phases of material data collection and order management for prototyping, sampling, and assigned budget allocation
- Liaise with product showrooms to facilitate the transfer of technical information regarding prototype and sampling materials
- Administer and track shipping documentation for direct laboratory shipments and materials received at the Milan facility
- Manage and resolve documentation-related issues and discrepancies
- Archive materials and update technical specification sheets
- Participate in periodic collection fitting and editing meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the textiles, fashion, or procurement sector
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite; knowledge of PLM systems, AS400, and Adobe Acrobat is preferred
- Sound understanding of textile supply chain operations and material classification
- Fluent in English

Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in textiles, fashion, or procurement environments, with exposure to supplier coordination and material sourcing workflows.
Education
Secondary education or vocational qualification in textiles, fashion management, business administration, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating foundational knowledge of the fashion supply chain.

This position is based in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
