Loro Piana seeks a Raw Materials Quality Control Manager in Impruneta to lead luxury leather and accessories testing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the team, including the balance between internal and external resources.
- Attend meetings presenting new collection leathers led by the LG & Shoes leather engineering teams; communicate leather-development information, request progress on reference standards, and coordinate pre-series launches.
- Validate leather pre-series with the relevant engineering teams and support the creation of tolerances for reference standards, such as tolerances against the colour master.
- Plan testing activities and manage external service providers.
- Monitor and verify test results against defined specifications, intervening to manage anomalies when issues arise.
- Carry out tests and verify that data is correctly recorded in the system.
- Analyse testing performance indicators and escalate issues when necessary.
- Participate in problem-solving meetings.
- Periodically verify that testing stations at vendors comply with requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in the leather sector for luxury products, such as leather engineering, cutting, or quality control.
- Knowledge of the raw-material lifecycle, particularly tanning processes.
- Knowledge of suede, reversed, and fine leathers, in addition to smooth calfskin, is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of IT tools for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
- Knowledge of written and spoken English; French is preferred.

Compensation
