Loro Piana Purchasing Specialist in Impruneta, Italy. Manage raw material orders, supplier relations, and pricing for leather goods production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Establish and update price lists for all material categories including fabrics, accessories, and leather; negotiate and validate pricing and minimum order quantities
- Manage the release and issuance of raw material purchase orders in compliance with the Purchasing Planning schedules
- Coordinate operational activities for order management, supervising order processing staff across fabric, accessories, and leather categories
- Execute timely insertion and emission of all purchase orders into the system
- Monitor daily and weekly advancement of raw material orders and track delivery schedules
- Manage and update order confirmations
- Collaborate with Purchasing Planning to review and revise the purchase plan according to established timelines
- Maintain supplier relationships and manage vendor communications
- Follow up with suppliers in cases of delivery delays
- Negotiate price definitions and related discounting arrangements
Qualifications
- Degree (including short-cycle) in Management Engineering or scientific disciplines such as Mathematics or Statistics
- Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a purchasing specialist or equivalent role
- Excellent proficiency in English
- Advanced competency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SAP and AS400 systems (preferred)
- Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management capabilities
- Results-oriented mindset
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in purchasing operations, order management, or a related procurement function, with demonstrated expertise in raw materials sourcing and supplier coordination.
Education
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Management Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related scientific disciplines.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
