Loro Piana seeks a Purchasing Specialist in Ghemme, Italy to manage raw material procurement and supplier relationships for the Knitwear & Jersey division.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and update pricing lists and supplier rate cards
  • Negotiate and validate pricing, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Issue and submit purchase orders for raw materials in accordance with established timelines
  • Monitor order progression and delivery schedules through daily and weekly tracking
  • Manage and update purchase order confirmations and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to balance priorities and ensure timely material launches
  • Maintain vendor relationships and escalate delivery delays or quality issues as needed

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or Scientific disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a purchasing or procurement role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP or AS400 (preferred)
  • Demonstrated negotiation capability and supplier relationship management experience
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
