Loro Piana seeks a Purchasing Specialist in Ghemme, Italy to manage raw material procurement and supplier relationships for the Knitwear & Jersey division.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and update pricing lists and supplier rate cards
- Negotiate and validate pricing, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms with suppliers
- Issue and submit purchase orders for raw materials in accordance with established timelines
- Monitor order progression and delivery schedules through daily and weekly tracking
- Manage and update purchase order confirmations and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to balance priorities and ensure timely material launches
- Maintain vendor relationships and escalate delivery delays or quality issues as needed
Qualifications
- Degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or Scientific disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP or AS400 (preferred)
- Demonstrated negotiation capability and supplier relationship management experience
- Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving ability

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing or materials-intensive environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent scientific discipline.

This position is based in Ghemme, Piedmont, Italy, within easy reach of Milan.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
