Loro Piana seeks a Production Planning & Control Coordinator in Impruneta, Italy to manage leather-goods scheduling, supplier coordination and delivery performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the site team responsible for finished-goods progress to ensure on-time delivery targets are met.
- Interface with external subcontractors and internal production departments to set and manage production priorities.
- Prepare, monitor and present production KPIs and progress reports for local and central planning teams.
- Supervise rescheduling and date re-planning of the order portfolio within the ERP/management system.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to secure materials/components that uphold production priorities and timelines.
- Manage the weekly finished-goods inspection/testing schedule together with the Quality office.
- Provide weekly reporting for central Planning to ensure visibility of deliveries and bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in production planning within leather goods/manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience managing small production or planning teams and coordinating external suppliers.
- Advanced analytical capability with demonstrated experience in KPI development and operational reporting.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive work style.
Skills
Experience
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing or leather-goods production planning, including resource management and supplier coordination; experience with ERP-driven scheduling and reporting is required.
Education
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration or a related technical discipline; equivalent vocational qualifications or significant relevant professional experience will also be considered.
