Role & Responsibilities
- Localize training materials prepared by global headquarters from English into contextually accurate, brand-aligned Japanese documentation while maintaining content integrity and luxury brand standards
- Deliver engaging, in-store product training across Japan's retail network, emphasizing collection narratives and brand heritage to enhance staff confidence in articulating product value propositions
- Partner strategically with domestic retail, merchandising, CRM, and marketing teams to synchronize product storytelling, client relationship management, and sales execution during collection launches and capsule releases
- Provide continuous support and coaching during capsule collection launches, addressing staff questions and resolving implementation challenges
- Develop and execute specialized training programmes focused on "Craft the Silhouette" positioning, guiding retail associates in mastering fit, styling, and personalized styling recommendations to match individual customer preferences
- Conduct performance evaluations using mystery shopping feedback, NPS data, and sales analytics to measure training effectiveness and identify product knowledge improvement opportunities
- Monitor industry trends, emerging retail training technologies, and best practices in team development to continually optimize training content and delivery methodologies for the evolving Japanese luxury retail landscape
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in retail training or equivalent roles within the Japanese luxury retail sector
- Demonstrated expertise in the Japanese luxury retail market, including in-depth understanding of service standards, cultural nuances, and consumer expectations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with capacity to craft and deliver training with linguistically sophisticated Japanese expression befitting a luxury brand
- Advanced presentation and facilitation skills capable of engaging diverse audiences and sustaining motivation across multi-session programmes
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize competing demands, and maintain rigorous time management standards
- Willingness and ability to conduct domestic travel as required to support store teams and respond to seasonal training priorities
- English language proficiency is preferred
