Loro Piana is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Intern to support supplier engagement, contract management, and bidding for small-scale projects. The internship provides exposure to sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management; it is listed as full-time and on-site.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist with sourcing and evaluating suppliers against project requirements to ensure appropriate selection and value.
- Support bidding for small-scale projects, including documentation management, archiving, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and related procurement documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain and update procurement records, contract files, and category-based supplier databases for accuracy and accessibility.
- Contribute to supplier relationship management initiatives to foster long-term strategic partnerships.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and opportunities for cost reduction and process optimisation.
- Assist with contract administration, compliance verification, and adherence to internal procurement policies.
- Analyse procurement spend data and identify and recommend cost optimisation strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Procurement Senior Manager to support departmental objectives.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward learning.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
