Role & Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the industrialisation process for leather goods at the Impruneta production unit, ensuring milestones and production releases are met.
  • Develop and maintain the master launch plan (MASTER) aligned with the retro‑planning and wave scheduling defined with Planning.
  • Define raw material requirements for master launches and coordinate with Purchasing to secure on‑time material returns.
  • Create production work orders in the system and release jobs to manufacturing, handling the transfer of materials to subcontractors (conto lavoro).
  • Coordinate with external subcontractors to set priorities and implement a structured plan for the return of finished goods.
  • Track industrialisation progress, update milestone dates, analyse deviations and activate relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Support the industrialisation team in organising activities and monitor progress at subcontractor sites, including business travel for on‑site follow‑up.
  • Share progress updates with Planning and liaise with the internal laboratory for finished‑product test results.
  • Produce and update concise industrialisation KPI reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience in planning or purchasing, preferably within leather goods or luxury leather accessories.
  • Solid knowledge of leather materials, components and their manufacturing implications.
  • Proven experience with SAP and PLM systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI).
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, proactive and deadline driven; available for regular travel to subcontractors.

Experience

At least 3 years of professional experience in production planning, purchasing or industrialisation activities, preferably within the leather goods sector and interacting with subcontractors.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience in leather goods production.
