Loro Piana seeks a Process Engineering Specialist in Impruneta, Italy. Lead leather goods industrialisation, manage production schedules, and coordinate suppliers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise master production schedules based on collaborative planning with the Planning Office and aligned to production waves
- Define raw material requirements for master production launches and liaise with procurement to ensure timely material availability
- Create and release work orders into the production system, managing the dispatch of materials to external manufacturing partners
- Serve as primary interface with external suppliers to manage production priorities and establish systems for finished product receipt planning
- Monitor industrialisation schedules with precision, maintaining date accuracy and identifying variances
- Analyse production deviations and activate relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
- Support the industrialisation team in activity organisation and track progress with external manufacturing partners
- Report production advances to the Planning Office and coordinate with the internal laboratory for finished product testing
- Generate and maintain summary reports on industrialisation KPIs
- Conduct regular site visits to external suppliers to monitor production progress
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in planning or procurement, preferably within leather goods manufacturing
- Comprehensive knowledge of leather goods materials and components
- Advanced proficiency with SAP and PLM systems
- Strong analytical capabilities and data processing skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Proficiency with reporting tools such as Power BI
- Fluent English language skills
- Demonstrated precision, proactivity, and deadline-oriented mindset
- Availability for regular travel to supplier facilities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in planning or procurement functions, preferably within the leather goods or fashion accessories manufacturing sector. Hands-on exposure to material sourcing, production scheduling, and supplier coordination is essential.
Education
Upper secondary education (diploma or equivalent) required; tertiary education in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
