Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop a team of back‑of‑house staff responsible for merchandise logistics, stockroom organisation and daily operational tasks.
- Manage receipt, processing and allocation of shipments and inter‑store transfers, ensuring accurate and timely inventory movement.
- Execute and oversee cycle counts and regular audits to validate inventory quantities and product condition, reporting discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with Store Manager and retail leadership to align replenishment and inventory levels with sales potential and company standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimise back‑of‑house efficiency and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures and stockroom housekeeping standards, including labelling and storage practices.
- Manage reservations and consignments, resolving exceptions in accordance with corporate guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of operational management experience; prior luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop frontline operations staff with measurable results.
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory control procedures, cycle counting and merchandise audits.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with stockroom operations, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude and capacity to prioritise in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Skills
Experience
Minimum three years of operational or inventory management experience, ideally within a luxury retail environment, with demonstrated responsibility for supervising back‑of‑house teams and executing cycle counts/audits.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, retail management, supply chain/logistics or a related discipline preferred.
