Loro Piana seeks a Modelling Specialist in Ghemme, Italy to develop knitwear patterns and technical specifications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Development, Industrialization, and Internal Production teams to interpret design sketches and convert them into workable patterns using CAD software or manual methods, aligned with the knitwear programming team
- Execute modifications during the defect resolution phase
- Create base sizes and scale developments during industrialization whilst preserving the stylistic and aesthetic integrity of the original design
- Provide technical support to the Production team regarding garment execution and quality standards
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends in knitwear development
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a patternmaker, preferably in the knitwear sector
- Diploma from a technical institute or patternmaking-focused program
- Proficiency with CAD software specific to textiles and knitwear (preferably Lectra and/or Crea Solution)
- Competence in operating flat-bed knitting machines
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience managing technical documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities
- Good command of English language

Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a patternmaker in the fashion or knitwear sector, demonstrating proficiency in pattern development, garment construction, and technical specification documentation.
Education
Diploma from a technical institute specializing in fashion, textiles, or patternmaking.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Ghemme, Piedmont, Italy, with easy access to Milan.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 30,000 per annum.
