Loro Piana seeks a Modelling Specialist in Ghemme, Italy to develop knitwear patterns using CAD and technical expertise.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product development, industrialization, and in-house production teams to interpret design sketches and transform them into working patterns using CAD software or manual techniques, aligned with the knitting programming team
  • Process and implement requested modifications during the defect correction phase
  • Create base sizes and size grading during the industrialization phase while preserving the stylistic and aesthetic integrity of the original design
  • Provide technical support to the production team regarding garment execution and construction
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends in knitwear production

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a pattern maker, preferably in the knitwear sector
  • Diploma from a technical or pattern-making institute
  • Proficiency with CAD software specific to the textiles and knitwear industry (preferably Lectra and/or Crea Solution)
  • Competency with flat knitting machines
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and demonstrated experience managing technical documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong command of English
