Role & Responsibilities
- Manage full buying responsibility for all Men's categories (RTW, leather goods, shoes, accessories and lifestyle), ensuring assortments reflect brand positioning and local client preferences.
- Translate budget and category objectives into concrete buying decisions; review and adjust actual buying by category.
- Define and execute product sales strategies, from launches through momentum-building and mid-season actions.
- Optimize allocation and reallocation of inventory across store network based on store/customer profiles, sales strategy and sell-through performance.
- Lead biannual buying sessions at Milan HQ (May and November) in close collaboration with the MD Planner and Merchandising & Visual Director.
- Monitor inventory evolution, sell-through at SKU level, and delivery statuses; coordinate with HQ Product Teams and logistics to ensure timely store receipts and minimise risks.
- Share collection and product intelligence with Visual Merchandising, Communications and Retail teams to ensure coherent market presentation.
- Perform market and product analysis; report findings to Merchandising HQ and collaborate with product teams on new developments and trend adaptations.
- Work cross-functionally with Retail, Marketing, Operations and the Women’s MD Manager to align category strategies and support store-level commercial initiatives, events and promotions.
- Conduct regular store visits and provide frontline support to retail teams to maximise local commercial execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years' experience in merchandising, buying or senior retail merchandising roles, preferably within luxury apparel.
- Proven track record in category management and commercial planning across multiple product families.
- Strong analytical ability with proficiency in retail math, sell-through analysis and inventory optimisation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel modelling skills; confident presenter using PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple initiatives and deliver to tight timelines.
- Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with clear written and verbal communication.
- Deep product sensitivity and alignment with high-end brand standards; meticulous attention to detail.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion, Merchandising or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience in luxury retail accepted.
