Role & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply instructions from paper patterns (cartamodello) to leather components.
  • Prepare and dye individual leather pieces and perform final dyeing of completed bags using appropriate techniques for precious skins.
  • Assemble prepared and dyed components into the finished handbag with full autonomy.
  • Verify that each assembled bag meets established quality and finishing standards; perform inspections and corrective actions as required.
  • Support and collaborate with sewing operations, including interfacing with sewing-machine operators to complete assembly steps.
  • Work with high-value and exotic leathers (e.g., crocodile) while maintaining material integrity and traceability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leather goods assembly; 10+ years preferred for work with precious/exotic skins.
  • Proven knowledge of handbag assembly techniques for luxury women's and men's segments.
  • Deep familiarity with precious leathers, in particular crocodile and other exotic skins.
  • Practical experience using industrial sewing machines and understanding of their role in assembly workflows.
