Loro Piana — Borgosesia: Knitwear Production Planning Intern (6-month internship) supporting production planning and supply-chain coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor arrival of raw materials and components against launch plans; promptly identify deviations or delays and coordinate corrective actions with Purchasing.
- Collaborate with Industrialization and Production teams to track progress of production releases and ensure new items enter production on schedule to meet delivery commitments.
- Participate in periodic production-flow review meetings and contribute to analysis and continuous improvement of production throughput.
- Provide regular updates on production progress to the Planning HQ team and maintain stakeholder alignment.
- Plan production of permanent/core items using the company’s planning tool, balancing on-time delivery requirements with optimal finished-goods inventory levels.
- Update the production plan in the Planning system twice monthly, including delivery forecasts for upcoming productions to support accurate reporting.
- Work with IT and cross-functional partners to refine planning processes and support updates or development of planning-related IT tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- High analytical capacity with excellent attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions.
- Proficiency in Italian and English.
- Availability to commute to or relocate to Borgosesia for an on-site placement.
