Loro Piana in Sillavengo, Italy seeks a Knitwear Linking Operator — permanent full-time role in knitwear assembly and linking.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble knitwear components in the Confezione (finishing/assembly) department using circular linking machines to produce finished garments, prototypes and samples in line with production schedules.
- Operate linking machines across different gauges, performing both straight-line and point-insertion linking techniques to join knitted panels.
- Execute paired and overlapped seams and perform precise edge finishing to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic continuity.
- Inspect knitted panels for weaving defects (selvage, panel perimeter) and verify symmetry and alignment of left and right pieces prior to linking.
- Control fabric behaviour and maintain appropriate tension settings throughout each production sequence.
- Continuously monitor and assure the quality of own output against established standards and corrective actions where required.
- Collaborate with the department supervisor to optimise workflow and share task-specific knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' hands-on experience in linking/reaming roles within knitwear production.
- Proven proficiency with circular linking machines and associated linking tools/attachments.
- Strong manual dexterity, patience and precision with fine knit fabrics.
- Keen attention to detail and consistent quality awareness.
- Effective teamwork skills and the ability to take direction from technical supervisors.

Experience
At least 5 years of practical experience operating linking machines in a knitwear production environment, with demonstrated ability to produce sample and production garments to luxury quality standards.
