Role & Responsibilities
- Operate circular linking (rimaglio) machines to assemble knitwear components into finished garments, prototypes or production samples according to assigned cycles and timing.
- Perform straight linking (dritto‑filo) and inlay/linking stitch techniques (infilo punti) across different gauges and yarn types.
- Execute paired and overlapped seams ensuring correct alignment, tension control and symmetry of left/right panels prior to assembly.
- Monitor and control fabric behaviour and machine settings to maintain stitch regularity and product integrity throughout the process.
- Inspect and verify the quality of completed work against company standards; report and escalate defects or process deviations.
- Collaborate with the department supervisor to optimise workflows and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Document and share specialised process knowledge to support team capability and reproducibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years' proven experience operating circular linking machines in knitwear production.
- Demonstrable mastery of linking techniques (dritto‑filo, infilo punti) across multiple machine gauges.
- Strong attention to detail, patience and manual precision.
- Ability to interpret fabric characteristics and adjust tension/technique accordingly.
- Effective team-working and receptive communication with supervisors and colleagues.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in knitwear linking/seaming operations, with demonstrated competency across different machine gauges and yarn types within a production or sample room environment.
Education
Vocational qualification in textiles or garment technology preferred; equivalent demonstrable on‑the‑job experience accepted.
