Loro Piana seeks an experienced Knitting Programmer to join its manufacturing facility in Ghemme, Italy. The successful candidate will independently develop and optimize programs for Shima Seiki electronic flat-bed knitting machines, managing production specifications and troubleshooting technical anomalies to ensure seamless manufacturing workflows and product conformity with established standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and optimize knitting programs for Shima Seiki electronic flat-bed machines tailored to production runs and garment sizing specifications
- Monitor machine efficiency and promptly resolve technical anomalies during production cycles
- Liaise continuously with team leaders, production technologists, and machine operators to ensure workflow continuity
- Verify product conformity against technical specifications and established manufacturing standards
- Manage and update machine programs and parameters to optimize yarn consumption and cycle times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in knitting machine programming
- Proficiency with SDS One APEX 3.3/3.4 system
- Experience with package-based programming (Paint Color and Free Color functionality)
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Collaborative work approach
- Comprehensive understanding of luxury knitwear construction and fiber characteristics

Prior professional experience in knitting machine programming or related technical role within luxury textile manufacturing
Education
Technical qualification or equivalent practical expertise in textile engineering or industrial manufacturing

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 28,000 per annum.
