Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of jersey products and coordinate a small team of technicians, participating in fittings to translate prototypes into production-ready garments.
- Define and document technical and quality specifications in close collaboration with Product Development and Industrialization teams.
- Oversee technical and quality control during industrialization and production ramp-up, fine-tuning components and assemblies to meet specifications.
- Provide on-site technical support during production to diagnose and resolve process or workmanship issues.
- Manage relationships with external laboratories and testing partners to ensure timely release of production and compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor team workload and project progress to ensure adherence to corporate procedures, quality requirements and production timelines.
- Coach and develop team members, identify training needs and plan activities to raise technical competence; maintain and update internal documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in jersey industrialization or knitwear technical development.
- Proven experience coordinating or supervising a team of technical specialists.
- Deep knowledge of product development phases, industrialization processes and quality control for knitwear.
- Strong attention to detail, result orientation and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/laboratories.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Skills
Experience
At least 10 years of progressive experience in jersey/knitwear industrialization, including hands-on production support and prior responsibility for coordinating a team or technical function.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Fashion Design or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in knitwear industrialization.
