Loro Piana seeks an IT Manager in Tokyo to lead IT operations, retail systems and security, with hybrid work and frequent store visits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and implement IT strategy in line with company and group objectives, prioritizing retail systems and customer-facing technologies.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliability, scalability and security of networks, servers and end-user environments.
- Provide hands-on technical support for stores, including setup and maintenance for pop-ups, openings and closures; perform regular store visits.
- Ensure optimal operation of key business applications (ERP, POS, CRM, e-commerce platforms) and coordinate application updates with vendors and stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop the local IT team to foster a collaborative, service-oriented organisation.
- Manage IT budget and procurement; negotiate contracts and supervise external vendors and service providers.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures and regulatory compliance in accordance with global CISO guidance (e.g., PCI-DSS, APPI/PPC).
- Plan and execute IT projects, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the in-store and online customer experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum five years of progressive IT management experience, preferably within retail or luxury fashion.
- Proven experience managing IT operations, budgets, vendors and cross-functional IT projects.
- Strong leadership and team-development capability with a hands-on, service-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent English is required.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory frameworks relevant to retail operations.

Minimum five years of progressive IT management experience, ideally leading IT operations for retail or fashion brands, with direct exposure to store systems, vendor coordination and cross‑functional project delivery.
Education
