Loro Piana seeks an Industrialization Intern to support the Shoes Industrialization team in Porto San Giorgio for a six-month placement. The intern will manage bill of materials creation and validation, monitor production consumption data, oversee costing procedures, handle internal system releases, and coordinate communications with the production supply chain partners. This role offers hands-on exposure to footwear product engineering and supply chain management within a luxury manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create, verify, and correct bills of materials (BOMs) in accordance with product specifications
- Monitor and report production consumption data to the technical department
- Manage costing procedures including cost reduction initiatives and cost sheet preparation
- Execute system releases and data management within the PLM (product lifecycle management) platform
- Coordinate information flow and communications with supply chain partners and external manufacturers
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of English, particularly technical terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Results-oriented approach and strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to work collaboratively within a technical team environment
Skills
Experience
Entry-level; no specific prior professional experience required. Candidates with relevant coursework in product engineering, industrial management, or similar disciplines are preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary education in engineering, industrial management, supply chain, or related field is advantageous.
