Role & Responsibilities
- Line the upper and prepare topstitching through pressing and shaping
- Apply and bond toe caps and heel counters to the shoe form
- Attach the insole to the plastic last and execute preliminary mounting
- Perform manual assembly operations and utilize pre-mounting equipment
- Bond the upper and insoles to complete shoe closure on mounted footwear
- Mount side panels and perform shoemaking machine operations for closing
- Oversee and supervise oven passage processes
- Execute final hand-stitching and bottoming operations to complete assembly
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in footwear manufacturing
- Diploma from a technical institute (Istituto Tecnico)
- Proven multi-year experience as a footwear assembly operator in artisanal or industrial shoemaking
- Deep knowledge of luxury footwear assembly and mounting techniques for women's and men's segments
- Consolidated understanding of materials and product characteristics
- Proficiency with all mounting and assembly tools and machinery specific to footwear production
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Strong capacity to work toward defined objectives while respecting production timelines
