Financial Analyst Intern at Loro Piana, Hong Kong — 6-month contract supporting APAC financial planning and analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Consolidate historical and current expense data from diverse APAC markets and develop interactive Power BI dashboards to provide real-time spending insights to function heads
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and support ad-hoc financial analysis
- Support monthly performance reviews and forecasting cycles by extracting, cleaning, and validating raw financial data submissions from local market teams
- Contribute to the preparation of standardized monthly regional management presentations, track key performance metrics, and identify significant spending trends
- Assist the regional manager in preparing financial commentary and addressing budget inquiries to facilitate data-driven business decisions
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience designing data models, creating interactive visualizations, and writing formulas within Power BI
- Proficiency in Excel for data transformation, data hygiene, and handling large datasets using advanced functions (XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
- Strong understanding of P&L structures, operational expenses (OPEX), cost center allocations, and variance analysis principles
- Prior internship experience in corporate finance, accounting, data analytics, or business intelligence highly preferred
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative discipline
- Business partnering acumen with strong commercial mindset and ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Eligible to work in Hong Kong

Experience
Prior internship experience in corporate finance, accounting, data analytics, or business intelligence is highly preferred. Comfort with real-world, non-standardized datasets is essential.
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative discipline.
