The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures the effective operation and maintenance of building and fire-protection systems at Loro Piana’s Ghemme site, coordinating inspections, suppliers, compliance activities, budgets and reporting. The role is full-time and permanent, governed by the Textile, Clothing and Fashion National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) and the company supplementary agreement; the initial gross annual salary is EUR 40,000, subject to variation based on experience, skills, seniority and organizational needs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper operation of technological and fire-protection systems and buildings through preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to maintain operational continuity and comply with applicable safety regulations, using external service providers and the contracted on-call service where necessary.
- Coordinate routine and extraordinary maintenance in accordance with applicable regulations, internal procedures and safety plans.
- Manage relationships with business areas and suppliers to plan activities according to deadlines.
- Work with the Facilities team to manage the site.
- Conduct periodic inspections to verify the performance of contracts within the role’s remit and the general condition of maintenance and systems, taking corrective action where within the role’s expertise.
- Support other functions and agencies in organizing events inside and outside the building, working closely with the logistics and Facilities teams.
- Implement and monitor service levels through KPIs to support accurate site-management planning and execution.
- Use AUTOCAD for space-layout projects.
- Manage technical documentation, diagrams and manuals required for maintenance activities.
- Work with the HSE department on audits and regulatory and legislative compliance checks.
- Manage administrative supplier-invoicing activities using SAP Fiori.
- Support budget preparation by proposing improvements and ensuring compliance with established costs and timelines.
- Work with external suppliers to resolve complex issues and install new systems or make minor modifications.
- Prepare reports on completed interventions and materials used, including with the MainSim application.
Qualifications
- Technical education in Architecture, Engineering or a similar discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably in the fashion or luxury sector.
- Professional knowledge of Office software and AutoCad.
- Problem-solving ability and a flexible, positive attitude.
- Active listening skills to understand internal stakeholders’ needs.
