Role & Responsibilities
- Independently develop and implement programs for electronic flat-bed knitting machines (Shima) to produce fully-fashioned garments and knitted uppers for footwear.
- Design and develop new stitch patterns and knit structures tailored to luxury materials and product specifications.
- Execute advanced machine programming, including Paint Color and Free Color package workflows, and create intarsia and jacquard through Shaping Knit Paint and DSCS.
- Collaborate closely with Pattern Making (Modelleria) and Sewing/Production (Confezione) departments to translate design intent into manufacturable, high-quality knitwear.
- Supervise sampling, defect analysis (sdifettamento) and industrialization phases; coordinate and manage necessary program and specification modifications to achieve production readiness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience programming electronic flat knitting machines within luxury knitwear or high-end textile production.
- Deep technical knowledge of knitwear construction, stitch types and luxury raw materials.
- Proven expertise with SDS One APEX 3.3/3.4.
- Advanced programming skills including Paint Color and Free Color package usage.
- Experience with DSCS and the Shaping Knit Paint software for intarsia and jacquard creation.
- Strong creativity, proactivity and a collaborative disposition; ability to work cross-functionally with design and production teams.

Education
