Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and supervise carding machines across assigned shifts, ensuring continuous, safe production.

- Collaborate closely with the production technologist and carding team to optimise processes and transfer technical knowledge.
- Perform routine mechanical checks and basic troubleshooting on carding equipment; escalate maintenance issues to the technical team.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift handovers and comply with health, safety and housekeeping protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating carding machinery in spinning/textile production, preferably with animal fibres (wool, cashmere).
- Practical knowledge of carded spinning processes, fiber characteristics and raw material behaviour.
- Ability to interpret and apply machine settings and carding instructions for different articles and fibre types.
- Proven track record of working effectively with production technologists and multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with textile production safety standards.

Experience
Minimum 3 years operating carding machines or equivalent roles within spinning/textile production, preferably in luxury fibres such as wool and cashmere.
Education
Technical or vocational diploma in textile technology, mechanical engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent on‑the‑job training accepted.
