Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce technical patterns for handbags and small leather goods using CAD (MOZART) in accordance with assigned timelines.
  • Translate product and style office directions into precise technical drawings and specifications that guide prototyping and production.
  • Define technical specifications including dimensions, seam lines, construction details and bill of materials to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Style and Prototyping departments to monitor prototype progress and implement iterative refinements.
  • Oversee model revisions and verify accuracy and compliance with industrial standards throughout the development cycle.
  • Support industrialization by incorporating feedback from the industrialization team to optimise patterns for manufacturing.
  • Follow established technical and organisational procedures to maintain consistency and traceability across samples and production.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a pattern maker and/or industrializer in the luxury leather goods sector.
  • Proven expertise in leather construction techniques and all phases of handbag assembly.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software MOZART for pattern development.
  • Keen attention to detail, strong organisational discipline and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across product, style and prototyping teams and adapt to iterative change.
