Loro Piana seeks an Assistant Store Manager in San Diego, CA to lead boutique sales, operations and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance through coaching, task delegation and regular performance management.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, lead VIC initiatives and ensure an elevated luxury selling ceremony.
- Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train and develop boutique staff; create career development plans and deliver regular coaching and feedback.
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, strategic scheduling, cycle counts, stock consolidations and fiscal inventory.
- Manage after‑sales processes (alterations, repairs, spare parts) and handle customer recovery with discretion and professionalism.
- Control store operating expenses within budget, report P&L impacts and optimize expenditure related to shipping, supplies and alterations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety procedures and internal policies; report facilities and maintenance issues promptly.
- Facilitate clear communication between the boutique team, Store Manager and corporate partners to align on sales and operational objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of management and sales experience; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP; comfortable adopting additional digital retail tools.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach teams, manage performance and create development plans.
- Solid knowledge of retail operations, inventory control and P&L responsibility.
- Ability to work weekends and travel as required; capable of lifting and moving up to 40 pounds.
