Loro Piana seeks an Accounts Payable Manager in New York to lead AP operations, manage vendor relationships, and optimize SAP systems including VIM module.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development
- Oversee the complete accounts payable lifecycle, from invoice receipt through payment processing, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance requirements
- Optimize SAP functionality with particular emphasis on the Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) module to streamline invoice processing, approvals, and workflows
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and reduce manual work
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and strengthen interdepartmental processes
- Manage vendor relationships, address payment concerns, and maintain vendor satisfaction
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts payable
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, offering insights into payment trends, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and prevent fraudulent activity
- Support internal and external audits, providing comprehensive documentation and detailed explanations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
- At least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity
- Mandatory proficiency with SAP systems
- Highly preferred experience with SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) module and Purchase Module
- Experience in a retail or high-volume transaction environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency
