Loro Piana Accountant in Hong Kong Island: manage South Asia accounting, IFRS month‑end close; SAP and Excel skills required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare the full set of accounting functions for South Asia entities, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger (GL) and fixed assets.
- Own month-end closing activities: prepare journal entries, execute balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items to ensure a clean close each month.
- Generate accurate and timely month-end reporting and disclosures in compliance with IFRS and applicable local GAAP.
- Coordinate with external tax agents and outsourced accounting service providers for direct and indirect tax filings across South Asia entities.
- Liaise with external auditors on annual statutory audits, statutory reporting and other local compliance matters.
- Support control and compliance activities, contribute to system implementations and process improvement projects, and handle ad-hoc financial assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CPAA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proven experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and journal posting for multi-entity operations.
- Prior experience in multinational corporations and retail is highly preferred; exposure to book-closing for other Asian markets advantageous.
- Practical knowledge of local compliance requirements, tax filing and statutory reporting for the region is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, strong organisation, self-motivation and rigorous attention to detail.
- Fluent spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within multinational corporations and retail. Prior exposure to accounting and book-closing for other Asian markets and experience working with external auditors and tax agents is highly desirable.
Education
Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CPAA or equivalent) is advantageous.
