L’Oréal Luxe is hiring a Senior Demand and Supply Planning Executive on a fixed-term basis in Shanghai. The role covers channel forecasting, supply planning, inventory and replenishment management, and order execution, with team leadership responsibilities depending on the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage sales forecast quality for the designated channel.
- Build baseline forecasts and challenge and consolidate sales forecasts for promotions and launches prepared by the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Ensure channel sales forecasts are consistent by building consensus across commercial forecasts, financial trends and sales history.
- Contribute to improving sales forecasting practices.
- Depending on the organization, recruit, develop and manage the team; facilitate knowledge transfer and develop its expertise; and implement organizational changes.
- As a professional-field expert or Local Business Owner, contribute to improving processes and information systems related to the activity and serve as the country-level job referent.
- Build the entity’s supply plan based on validated sales forecasts, stock levels and supply and procurement parameters.
- Assess logistics feasibility by analyzing stock equations and liaise with upstream partners on long-term issues, including capacity and gaps between capacity and demand.
- Set stock and supply parameters in line with service-rate, cost and global stock targets.
- Manage the replenishment process.
- Manage stock levels against channel objectives, analyze obsolete and slow-moving stock, and define and implement action plans.
- Reduce shortages by analyzing causes, defining action plans and challenging suppliers on MAD dates for out-of-stock products.
- Coordinate with multifunctional teams and manage order execution to fulfill client orders.
- Support quality issues and other operations-related topics as needed.
