The Beauty Counter Supervisor leads sales, service, counter operations and team development for L’Oréal Luxe in Shanghai. The role oversees consumer relationships, inventory, compliance, staffing and performance, and requires more than 2 years of relevant experience as a preference; the position is full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the team to achieve sales targets; manage, allocate and follow up on performance metrics.
- Raise counter service standards, deliver an exceptional consumer experience and strengthen consumer relationships.
- Manage consumer relationships at the counter and develop plans to retain existing customers and attract new ones.
- Maintain strong working relationships with department stores and shopping centres, support their initiatives and strengthen the brand’s reputation in the retail district.
- Monitor market trends and competitors, identify the counter’s strengths and uncover sales opportunities.
- Oversee compliance with company policies at the counter and among team members, and uphold the brand image.
- Use and maintain beauty retail systems, beauty equipment and digital tools relevant to the counter.
- Manage counter products and inventory, ensuring accurate stock counts and inventory records.
- Track team performance, identify gaps, coordinate training, recommend solutions and coach team members.
- Manage, motivate and develop team members.
- Ensure staffing meets the counter’s business needs and allocate shifts and tasks appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the team, relay information across levels, build team loyalty, encourage openness and collaboration, and sustain morale.
- Maintain knowledge of the brand and its products, brand culture and values, beauty-market and consumer trends, company and brand policies and procedures, digital tools, and BA team-management processes and guidelines, including the employee handbook.
