Longines Assistant Store Manager position on Fifth Avenue, New York. Lead retail team, drive sales, and manage boutique operations for The Swatch Group.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily boutique operations in compliance with company standards, including inventory management, cash control, and loss prevention techniques
  • Support the Store Manager in implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets through clienteling, superior customer service, events, and customer acquisition activities
  • Train, coach, and lead sales associates in selling techniques, customer service delivery, and brand knowledge to achieve individual and store-wide sales goals
  • Delegate and assign tasks to the retail team while providing constructive feedback and performance management
  • Assist in developing and administering sales incentive programs and employee rewards initiatives
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality customer experience across all customer touchpoints and maintain brand representation both inside and outside the boutique
  • Collaborate with Store Manager on coordination of in-store events including seasonal promotions, trunk shows, and contests
  • Prioritize, plan, and adapt to changing business needs while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all company policies, security protocols, personnel practices, and record-keeping procedures
  • Partner with Store Manager to maintain effective communication channels between store and corporate office and address operational challenges

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of retail store experience with demonstrated leadership in sales and merchandising
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education required; Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and motivate retail teams while maintaining fair and consistent standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and supervise others with minimal oversight
  • Self-motivated and quick learner with ability to interact effectively with domestic and international staff

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 35 to USD 40 per hour.
