Longines is hiring an Assistant Boutique Manager at Collins Street, Melbourne — lead boutique sales, clienteling and operations for the Swiss watch maison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Boutique Manager in all aspects of daily boutique operations, ensuring adherence to brand standards and merchandising directives.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and store KPIs through active coaching, performance feedback and floor leadership.
  • Drive client acquisition and retention via high‑level clienteling, personalised appointments and after‑sales service for timepieces.
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, incoming shipments and cycle counts to safeguard stock accuracy and loss prevention.
  • Execute visual merchandising and window displays in line with corporate guidelines to optimise product presentation and sales conversion.
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions and daily reconciliation procedures with rigour and confidentiality.
  • Prepare sales and operational reports, escalate issues to management and contribute to local business planning and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory or assistant‑manager experience in luxury retail, ideally within watches, jewellery or premium accessories.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and developing client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capability with the ability to inspire a small boutique team.
  • Sound knowledge of luxury retail operations including inventory control, merchandising and cash management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer‑centric approach and polished professional demeanour.

Experience
