About Longchamp

Longchamp is a family-owned French leather goods house. Jean Cassegrain founded it in Paris in 1948, making leather-covered pipes before the house turned to luggage and handbags. Its collections also include shoes and ready-to-wear.

The Facilities Technician supports Longchamp’s Paris headquarters through service-provider coordination, workspace and event set-ups, stock and waste management, vehicle and logistics-equipment upkeep, and cleaning-service follow-up. This is a permanent, full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend availability required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Accompany service providers during site visits, ensure they fulfil their assignments and respect the premises, collect reports, and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform light and medium-duty handling, including moving furniture and equipment, reorganising workspaces, and managing deliveries and equipment storage.
  • Help install and set up internal events, including meetings, temporary layouts, showrooms and photo shoots.
  • Manage site supplies and consumables, including small tools: monitor and replenish stock, maintain inventory files, place orders, and supply items such as cups and adhesive mats.
  • Contribute to initiatives to optimise energy consumption and manage waste under the tertiary-sector decree, including waste sorting and management and coordinating skips and their collection schedules.
  • Raise employee awareness of good equipment-use practices and selective waste sorting.
  • Keep equipment inventories up to date, anticipate stock requirements and schedule on-site work without disrupting teams’ activities.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance with partner garages, including servicing, washing and tyre changes.
  • Ensure logistics equipment, including hand trucks and trolleys, remains in good condition and available.
  • Monitor the cleaning teams’ service delivery.
  • Respond promptly and propose solutions to anticipate and resolve operational issues.
  • Be available occasionally in the evening or at weekends according to operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable carrying out minor repairs, including plumbing and painting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate the internet to place orders with suppliers.
  • Responsive, curious, methodical and organised, with a commitment to high-quality work and a strong eye for detail.
  • Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills, with the versatility to work with a range of contacts.
  • Strong prioritisation skills.
  • English is an advantage.
  • Motivated to contribute to projects and the Longchamp business.
