Loewe seeks an experienced Retail Manager in Tokyo, Japan to lead 15+ retail locations and drive brand excellence across department store partnerships.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a client-centric retail culture aligned with Loewe's core values and vision across the store network
  • Coach, develop, and empower Store Managers and leadership teams to drive business performance and accelerate people development
  • Build a robust talent pipeline through succession planning, strategic recruitment, and continuous leadership development
  • Champion elevated and consistent client experiences across all retail touchpoints and channels
  • Drive clienteling excellence, CRM utilization, and client development initiatives to strengthen customer relationships
  • Own overall P&L performance, driving sales growth, profitability, and KPI achievement across the portfolio
  • Develop and execute strategic action plans tailored to market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and business needs
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with department store operators and key local stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, operational requirements, and department store partnership agreements
  • Monitor business performance, implement corrective actions, and provide regular strategic reporting to senior leadership
  • Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, customer insights, and competitive awareness
  • Act as brand ambassador, strengthening Loewe's visibility and market presence within Japan

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive retail management experience within the luxury sector, with demonstrated success in multi-store leadership
  • Proven expertise in negotiating, building, and managing relationships with department store operators
  • Exceptional strategic planning and execution capabilities within a retail business context
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, mentor, and develop high-performing retail teams
  • Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills; authentic brand representation capability
  • In-depth knowledge of the luxury market, fashion trends, and elevated client service best practices
  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency
  • Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with retail POS systems such as SAP or Cegid
