Loewe Japan seeks a Retail Manager to lead 15+ stores across Japan with luxury retail experience and department store partnership expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a high-performing, client-centric culture that reflects the brand's values and vision
- Coach, develop and empower Store Managers and leadership teams to drive business performance and people growth
- Build a strong talent pipeline through succession planning, talent development and strategic recruitment
- Foster employee engagement, accountability and collaboration across the organization
- Communicate and execute company priorities, ensuring alignment and consistency across all store teams
- Champion an elevated and consistent client experience across all touchpoints
- Drive clienteling excellence, CRM utilization and client development initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with top clients and key local stakeholders
- Leverage client insights and feedback to continuously enhance the customer experience
- Own overall business performance, driving sales growth, profitability and KPI achievement
- Develop and execute strategic action plans tailored to market opportunities and business needs
- Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, customer insights and competitive awareness
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maximize category performance and business results
- Act as a brand ambassador, strengthening brand visibility and presence within the local market
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with department stores and key external stakeholders
- Support commercial negotiations and business development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company standards, operational requirements and department store policies
- Maintain accountability for P&L performance, expense control and operational efficiency
- Ensure excellence in store operations, inventory management, compliance and loss prevention
- Monitor business performance, implement corrective actions and provide regular reporting to senior leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive retail management experience within the luxury industry with demonstrated success in a multi-store leadership role
- Proven experience in negotiating, building, and managing relationships with department stores
- Exceptional strategic planning, execution, and analytical skills within a retail business context
- Demonstrated leadership ability to effectively lead, train, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
- In-depth knowledge of the luxury market, fashion trends, and client service best practices
- Native-level fluency in Japanese
- Business-level proficiency in English (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent)
