Loewe Merchandising Manager for Women's Category in Tokyo, Japan. Lead brand development, strategic buying, and sales growth in a hybrid role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate growth opportunities across product, retail, and market dimensions through collaborative 360-degree engagement with stakeholders
- Research and communicate local market needs and emerging trends to headquarters to inform product development initiatives
- Collaborate with the Retail Director and store teams to drive retail expansion and optimize store performance
- Develop seasonal buying strategies that align with visual merchandising, retail exposure, and regional marketing activities
- Build customized store assortments through clustering methodologies based on individual store needs and market demand
- Coordinate with the Paris merchandising team on the selection and allocation of Japanese assortment
- Achieve seasonal sales and sell-through targets across all product lines and store locations
- Identify and execute sales acceleration opportunities leveraging product innovation, retail operations, visual merchandising, and marketing channels
- Conduct impactful collection training programs for store teams and cross-functional departments
- Maintain optimal inventory levels across locations through strategic allocation, replenishment planning, and remerchandising activities
- Build and mentor a strong women's category team in collaboration with store-level specialists
- Partner with the visual merchandising team to maintain creative and commercially pragmatic VM execution across retail touchpoints
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail or merchandising within Japan
- Thorough understanding of the Japanese luxury market and consumer behavior
- Degree holder in a relevant discipline (Business, Fashion, Marketing, or related field)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to present ideas and concepts persuasively to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Experience in strategic buying, assortment planning, and inventory management
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving commercial targets

Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in retail or merchandising, preferably within Japan with deep familiarity of the local luxury market. Hands-on experience in strategic buying, product development, and retail operations is essential.
Education
Degree holder in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Fashion, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a closely related field.
