LOEWE in Getafe, Spain seeks a Leather Goods & Accessories Quality Leader (temporary) to manage quality incidents and lab testing for handbags and accessories.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary quality contact for handbags and accessories, ensuring alignment of standards across Quality, Merchandising, Design and Production.
- Manage end‑to‑end quality incidents: lead containment, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and verification of effectiveness.
- Create, update and govern departmental documentation to preserve traceability, consistency and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Define quality standards for materials and finished goods and drive their adoption across cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
- Lead cross‑functional crisis response when quality issues span multiple departments, coordinating rapid decision‑making and remediation.
- Oversee the physical testing laboratory for raw materials and finished products, including test planning, validation of results and supervision of laboratory technicians.
- Communicate production constraints and quality‑driven recommendations to Merchandising and Design, proposing derogations or product cancellations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' total professional experience with at least 3 years in quality roles within leather goods, luxury goods or related manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrable experience in a plant or supplier setting as a Senior Quality Technician, Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
- Fluent Spanish and English (both essential); working knowledge of French valued.
- Proven competency with structured problem‑solving and quality methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, FMEA), including experience running root‑cause analyses and corrective action plans.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑functional stakeholder management; proactive, organised and detail oriented.

Experience
5–8 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of 3 years dedicated to quality functions in leather goods, luxury product manufacturing or supplier/plant environments. Prior roles such as Senior Quality Technician, Quality Engineer or Quality Manager are expected.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Leather/Textile Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree or specialised certifications in quality management advantageous.
