Loewe is seeking a Leather Development and Sourcing Manager to bridge creative vision and technical execution, leading leather development from design brief to industrialization while safeguarding quality, sustainability and efficiency. The role is permanent and full-time, based on-site in Getafe.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end leather development cycles from initial design brief through industrialization, accelerating innovation lead times while meeting collection milestones without compromising quality.
- Direct exclusive leather touch, finishes, color depth and natural aging characteristics, securing strong first-time-right approvals for color and handfeel and consistent Maison signature finishes in bulk production.
- Balance time-to-market acceleration with technical validation, comprehensive testing, quality assurance and root-cause analysis of leather behavior in handbag construction.
- Lead supplier management, negotiations and cross-functional decision-making, embedding robust ESG practices, full traceability and regulatory compliance in daily operations.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of tanning, finishing, grading and leather behavior in handbag construction.
- Strong eye for luxury aesthetics, handfeel, grain and color nuance.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional influence, with the ability to translate creative briefs into precise technical specifications.
- Fluency in English and Spanish; Italian and/or French is a strong advantage.

Experience
Minimum 10 years; the profile specifies 15+ years of proven experience in leather development, research and tanning within a fast-paced luxury environment.
