Department Manager opportunity at LOEWE Harrods Accessories, London. Lead luxury retail team, manage client experience, and drive sales performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of client advisors to achieve individual, departmental, and store targets within a positive, collaborative environment
- Define and regularly review individual and team goals, providing qualitative feedback and real-time coaching to drive performance
- Identify, recruit, and develop talent in collaboration with store management, establishing succession plans
- Model best practices in sales and client relationship building, actively supporting team KPI achievement
- Manage customer flow and ensure optimal client experience standards are consistently maintained across the department
- Optimize customer data capture and integrity to support the client database
- Drive sales performance in assigned product categories, analyzing results and implementing improvement strategies
- Build and expand team technical knowledge of product categories to enhance sales, cross-selling, and unit-per-transaction performance
- Share market insights, customer feedback, and category performance data with the regional team
- Lead store operations in the absence of senior management, including store opening/closing and conflict resolution
- Maintain thorough knowledge of policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring consistent implementation
- Oversee inventory management and stock accountability
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a leadership role within a luxury retail or similar high-end environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams to success and drive commercial results
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to deliver against KPIs and targets
- Proficiency in data-driven analysis to optimize category and departmental performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Client-centric mindset with a demonstrated passion for exceeding client expectations
- Knowledge and passion for fashion, art, and culture
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of proven experience leading teams in luxury retail or a comparable high-touch retail environment, with demonstrated success in driving sales targets, managing client relationships, and developing talent. The ideal candidate will have managed accessories or a similar product category within a selective retail context.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualifications or relevant retail management certifications are advantageous.
