LOEWE seeks a Department Manager in London (Selfridges) to lead a sales team and drive department performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own departmental performance and targets; lead, coach and motivate a team of client advisors to achieve individual and store KPIs.
  • Define individual and team objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and deliver real-time coaching and qualitative feedback.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop talent in collaboration with the Store Manager/Director; secure succession plans and career progression.
  • Model selling behaviours on the floor, support advisors in client approach and sales technique, and drive category-specific commercial initiatives.
  • Manage customer flow and ensure every client receives an appropriate level of service; cultivate a client-centric culture and optimise data capture for the customer database.
  • Analyse category performance, share market and client insights with the regional team, and implement actions to grow sales, UPT and cross-selling.
  • Lead operational duties in the absence of senior management, including store opening/closing, inventory control and application of store policies and procedures.
  • Communicate company messages clearly through briefings and training, and ensure new joiners complete onboarding for successful integration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in retail management within luxury fashion or leather goods, with a proven record of leading diverse teams.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with experience delivering sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; experienced in talent identification, coaching and succession planning.
  • Strong clienteling instincts and passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Deep interest in fashion, art and culture; product knowledge of the managed category.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.

Experience

Minimum three years' proven experience in retail or boutique management in the luxury fashion sector, including team leadership, sales target delivery and client development.

Education

Secondary education required; a degree or diploma in business, retail management, fashion or a related discipline is advantageous.
