LOEWE seeks a Department Manager in London to lead a retail team at Selfridges, drive sales and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of client advisors to achieve individual and departmental sales targets, modelling sales behaviour and delivering in-the-moment coaching.
  • Define, review and manage individual and team objectives; provide qualitative feedback, conduct one-to-ones and run effective morning briefings and trainings.
  • Drive client acquisition and retention by optimising customer flow, improving data capture and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Own performance for an assigned product category: analyse sales, develop commercial action plans, and share market and client insights with the regional team.
  • Manage day-to-day store operations in the absence of senior management including opening/closing procedures, inventory control and escalation of complex customer issues.
  • Identify, recruit and develop talent in collaboration with the Store Manager/Director to secure succession plans and strengthen team capability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading retail teams within luxury fashion or leather goods environments.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales KPIs.
  • Strong coaching skills and the ability to develop diverse talent; experience in performance management and succession planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English.
  • Passion for and knowledge of the assigned product category, with a genuine interest in fashion, art and culture.

Experience

Minimum 3 years' experience in luxury retail or a comparable customer-facing environment, including proven people management responsibility and demonstrable sales performance against KPIs.

Education

Secondary education required; a degree or diploma in business, retail management, fashion or a related field is advantageous.
